培養閱讀興趣

有報導指本港家庭閱讀的風氣不足, 建議學生每日閱讀圖書、報紙兩小時,培養閱讀興趣及分析能力. 我一向對培養興趣這一類說法很懷疑, 如果是叫大家多接觸不同事物, 從中發掘自己的興趣, 這還比較容易接受. 我認為興趣不是培養出來的, 對於喜歡的事物, 我們自然會多做, 多看, 多想. 對於不喜歡的事, 硬要我去做, 往往只會令我更討厭它. 練習多了, 技術或許會進步, 技巧或許會變得高明, 但卻不見得會使我喜歡上它. 知之者不如好之者, 好之者不如樂之者, 如能樂在其中, 我們本身便會有一股動力今我們常常想去做, 並且想做得更好. 若說硬要去培養某樣興趣, 恐怕只會適得其反, 未免有點想當然而已.

不過, 有趣的是, 我最後不用 "via letter" 也拿到新的 password.

可是, 我要的是我 account 內的 data 啊...
於是我寫了這封 :
Hi,

My customer ID is XXXXXXX, thankyou so much for the help on access the email account, I do finally asked the Customer service hotline and get the password. Besides, I do deleted most of the email to solve the email quota over problem. However, I would like to ask about is there any "email foward" setting that I could apply to forward the email out for me to manage them in a central place? Besides, before the migration of system on Glink and CPCNet, I do have FTP, SSH and TELENT access for my account, which allow me to upload/download files and setting my webpage. How could I access these services now? Thankyou for your kind attention!

"email forward" issue
"Email Forward" is provided in Email Web Admin which is can let the email message forwards to your specific email address. please help to login EWA to configurate.

"FTP, SSH and TELENT" issue
Both of them will not be provide for your mail box, please use pop3 or webmail access for alternative.

However, I follow the link you posted, and login to the Email Administration page, it only provide "Auto Reply Configuration", "Change Password" and "Logout" function, I could not find the "Email forward" tag, please see the attachment : cpc_step1.jpg and cpc_step2.jpg, thanks for your kind attention!

For second question, I am not requesting to open FTP, SSH or TELNET services, I just wonder is there any method that I could get back all the files on my account which provided by glink.net.hk before system mirgation. I could still browse the website by : http://www.glink.net.hk/~xxxxx, (please see attachment : webpage.jpg). However, I have no idea how to get back the files that stored in my account. Please help, thanks in advance.

glink 個 server, 都係時日無多架喇, 無計啦...

glink 好耐之前比 CPCNet 買左, 佢地而家 migrate 左 d service, 對我地呢d 超舊客戶愛理不理咁, 我問佢想 download 返個 account D 野, 佢剩係識答 email....

Besides, the "ssh", "ftp" and "telnet" service seems blocked from "glink.net.hk". I do totally lost the control of my account, and the result is my email box seems over quota now, please tell me how to due with that, thankyou very much!

Kindly note that the cause of the mail box over quota can be lots of emails crash into your email box at the same time or the configuration of "leave a copy in server" was set in your email tools. Please help to log on to webmail.email.hk.net with your entire email address and password to delete some useless email such as spam mail to normalize the quota. Thank you for your attention.

Actually they look like don't understand my problem, so I reply :

Thankyou so much for your reply, but my main problem is I can't login to your email system, I do go to the webmail.email.hk.net, I input my Email address : xxxxx@glink.net.hk and input the password, however, it keep prompting me "Unknown user or password incorrect.", how could I get the correct password and login to the system? Pls be informed that we have tested your password and found it was incorrect. Since the Glink service migrated to our new email server on May 2007. The password is reset again and notification email was sent to every customer before then, do you have the notification email with the new password on hand? You can check the password via the letter, if no, please help to fill in your change password request and send back to us by fax#852-22190632
